Day in the life – Scrapbook crop

My friend and I have been scrapbooking for 20 years together.  It is the hobby that has stood the test of time for us.  Sometimes we get together for the day and sometimes it is a crop weekend.  We LOVE getting to chat with each other and have some really great heart to heart talks, which by far is the best part of our visit.

Added bonus to the visit is enjoying our favorite hobby together.  It is funny to me how we both alternate between super planned and organized which results in numerous pages complete or not as organized and the pages take longer.

Today Stacy was super organized and completed 10+ pages.  I was not.  I woke up and started to plan.  My goal was to finish my December Daily album, complete a couple of creative pages out of my normal comfort zone, and try a new technique.

Here is our day :  December daily completed – YAY!!

During my planning in the morning before Stacy got here, I decided to ‘get organized ‘ in a backwards kind of way from my norm.  I pulled four scrap lift layouts that I wanted to try something similar, then printed pics and found Ali Edwards kits to compliment.

I also played with a few new products I had on hand to try and see which ones I wanted to work with that day.

The rest of the day was filled with kids playing, lots of good conversation, and trying new  ideas. Stacy brought me a few more surprise products that I used on some of my pages. Here are all the new products that I used today:  Tim Holtz distress sprayer, Glossy Accents,  StazON Stamp Cleaner, Dylusions Ink Spray – black, blue and white, Gelatos ink.

Here is my favorite page of the day – LOVE how the letters turned out on my Silhouette.  The Glossy Accents on the ’10’.  The white ink spray helped me cover a previous section of page I wasn’t too happy with.  The Dylusions Black ink spray was splattered all over my background. Ali Edwards Story Kit – READ was utilized for the black labels, the Please read tag, the white READ in cursive and the two conversation bubbles.

Here is my favorite photo of the day !!!  Group Selfie!

Too fun.. to include reminder, to be open to others ways to do things…and can achieve even better results, than we might otherwise. And enjoy the company and conversation, along the way.
Thanks for include specifics on supplies used.
